Franco Urru original art.

I got a few Franco Urru original art scans to show you (he was fine with me uploading them).
* * *

Spike After the fall, issue 3(which I'm going to buy)
link

Spike After the fall, issue 4(last page)

linkAngel After the fall, issue 17(I'm going to get the three Spike/Illyria panels down to the right)
link

Spike Shadow Puppets(issue 3?) link

Just a few photos I've added to my collection.

I got three photos to show you(just bought them).

The first are copies of a photo used on the show. The first photo is a screencap of Cordelia cutting the final version of the photo up in The wish. The second one might be confusing. It's Sarah's stunt double(I think) on a photo that was unused(or maybe it was also cut up by Cordelia). It seems as if on the third photo (which was used on the show) the stunt double's body and Sarah's face(compare the hair) was photoshooped in.

Not the best photoshoping, eh?

A scan of both photos
And this is a behind-the-scenes photo from Graduation Day part 2(the second on is scanned)

Firefly-ish music.

Anyone who's noticed that Bon Jovi's song Dead or alive has a little bit of Firefly-ish music in it? Listen about 44 seconds in.

Time for some behind-the-scenes goodness.

And as always, click on them for bigger and better pictures(yep, sometimes size matters ;D

I got my Mooney!!!

My Stephen Mooney original has arrived!

It's page 19 of issue 1 from the soon to be published Not Fade Away comic-adaptation. It shows one of my favorite scenes from the episode, Spike on stage.

Here's a reenactment of me opening the package:

Tadadada! Bubble wrap away (thanks Stephen, I'll have fun with that later).

A salute from Ireland(Mooney's living in Ireland)

And here it is

And here's the signature he added for free.

Here's a scan of the page (without signature)

and here's the inked version.

Weekly feature: Excerpt from original script

This weeks featured episode is Somnabulist(Angel, season 1), in which an old "friend" of Angel, Penn, decides to re-live the murder of his family.

As Cordelia tries to persuade Angel to take a license plate problem to Kate, she offers this argument, cut for length before the episode aired;

"Just remind her that if it wasn't for you she'd be the curled gooey leftovers of a proto-Babylonian Burrower demon. Or words to that effect. You'll pretty it up."

Best OMWF cover I've heard.

A great Rest In Peace cover. She doesn't sound as bitter/angry as Spike in the end, which takes away from the experience, but otherwise, great version.

Buffy themed jummyness.

Just to make you drool...

Buffy & Angel, awww.

Buffy 10th anniversary cake at New York Comic Con, cut up by some Buffy people((James Leary (Clem), Jonathan M. Woodward (Holden 'Webs' Webster, Knox on Angel), Larry Bagby III (Larry), Dennis Christopher (Cyvus Vail, on Angel), Bianca Lawson (Kendra), and Juliet Landau (Drusilla))

Xander & Buffy.

And finally, a non-Buffy, yet very jummy-looking multiracial gay cake. (link)

Brian Lynch interview in "IDW The First Decade".

This is a very interesting interview, probably done a couple of months ago. Brian talks about Angel & Spike After the fall, the canon issue, working with Joss and more.

Pretty neat, huh?

Jossverse/Sin City fanvid

A cool Sin City/Buffy/Angel trailer

Dru sings & talks

Over at RyallTime we can see Juliet Landau sing(great song-choice btw).

We can also see the awesome covers for issue 24-25 of the new Angel series (1-17 was Angel After the fall, 18-22=Aftermath, 23=Gunn's issue).

As you see two of the covers remind slightly of this one from Spike Asylum;

Weekly feature: Excerpt from original script

I'm a little late with this one(they usually comes out every Sunday).

This excerpt is from the Angel episode That Old Gang Of Mine(Gunn's old gang attacks Caritas);

Cordelia has an even more difficult time easing into a conversation with Fred in the following exchange;

Cordelia: You're exactly the sort of girl who would have hated me in high school.

Fred: Oh, I'm sure that's not true.

Cordelia: No, no it is. I pretty much saw to it. I was a cheerleader, had power, popularity. You didn't know me then.

Fred: No I didn't. I knew you when you were a princess.

Cordelia: Uh, right. Anyway...

Btw, if you guys wonder where I get the excperts, it's mainly from Angel The Casefiles and The Watcher's guides(for Buffy).

Skull from Spike's crypt.

I'm a ebay-holic. My favorite thing to buy is Buffy props. Usually, it's very hard for me not to blog about everything I want. It's not only because I'm paranoid and think that you blogreaders might outbid me, it's also because I don't think you'd be interested.

Now however, I need to tell you something; I'm having second thoughts about buying this skull from Spike's crypt(I'd rather buy comics right now) so maybe if you guys are interested, you could outbid me.

It has a FOX COA, so I think it's the real deal(I'm pretty sure FOX wouldn't lie, unless they want to lose viewers). The COA says that it's screen used(which hopefully means that it was SEEN on screen, not that it was just used on a set) during Season 5. The seller believes it was used in Crush(see picture) right before Buffy discovered creepy Spike's shrine.

Come on, it was about an inch from Sarah's foot. Buy it!

Fun, fun, fun.

I though it was time for another funny Buffy vid.(PS. I assume it's even funnier if you've just seen the Buffy/Angel bloopers from the DVDs.)

Thesis on William the Bloody

You know the watcher-lady from the episode Checkpoint(Buffy, season 5), the one who says;
"I wrote my thesis on you" and then almost blushes?
Well, a fan/fans wrote a thesis on Spike. It's not that light, but very interesting and thorough.

Spike/Firefly crossover trivia

In a Whedonesque comment, a member quoted Joss Whedon;

"Here's the quote, it was from an interview conducted with Joss just before Serenity came out in the States.

'Could Serenity take place in the same universe as Buffy but the monsters were taken care of long ago?

I think you could make an argument for it, but I wouldn’t. The only thing we ever thought of doing is having a drunken and very miserable Spike at a bar just sitting there going, ‘Nothing changes. Trust me, nothing changes.’ That would’ve been in our decadent era. That would have been like season six. But no, I have to think about them as totally separate because they have different sensibilities and they have different sets of rules. It’s very important that Serenity be grounded. I had to go into outer space to come back down to earth but Buffy was a fantasy, a metaphor for rites of passage of our lives and Serenity is something else.'"

So true. Although seeing more Spike would have been awesome, the Firefly universe would be cheapened it it all of a sudden belonged to a distance non-magical Buffy-future. Also, it wouldn't be cool knowing that somehow, Spike will always survive. Takes the suspense out of fight to death-scenes, you know?

Unless he decided to travel through dimensions for a while, and in his home-dimension, the Buffyverse, it's still 2002, and he needed a new place to mope about Buffy(or perhaps he just accidentally fell through a portal). So technically, the Firefly-verse would still be it's own thing.

Huh, maybe it could have worked...

Weekly feature: Excerpt of original script

In a early version of the script of Fredless (Season 3) Cordelia and Fred's mom, Trish, had a talk. As we see, Fred's family was originally intended to be bigger.

Trish: I take Fred's never mentioned us?

Cordelia: Oh, sure she does, all the time. Let's see... there was a mother and... a father and... possibly a sibling?

Trish: Two brothers and a sister.

Cordelia: Tree siblings! Yes! A trio of siblings that Fred mention to us.

Time of your life litograph customs.

Msbig just finished two customs, Buffy & Fray, based on the Time Of Your Life litograph.(Btw, if anyone has the Buffy/Fray or Erin/Harth part of the litho, I'm looking to buy.)

I "borrowed" the picture above from Lukee

Links to the customs webpages;

James in high school.

I try not to post any interviews or articles that I found on whedonesque, but this nostalgic article, written by a guy who went to high school with Marsters, I couldn't help but post.
and

Emmie's making fun of Giles.

Some people(seems like a lot) over on slayalive is unhappy with Jim Krueger's(the writer for this issue) work on issue 24 of Season 8. They feel the writing was poor, the characters acted out-of-character and they miss Georges Jeanty's art(Cliff Richards did the art for this one).

I myself haven't read the issue yet, but thought I'd post a funny part of Emmie's review;

Preface: This is not a positive review. My first issue where I'm truly disappointed. And I'm not one of those who ranks NFFY as my favorite arc of all time for Season 8, so I didn't have high expectations for this issue like others who'd been dying for more Faith and Giles. But this...

Does anyone else think Giles came off sounding like an idiot in this piece?

Giles' Dialogue:

1. "Slayer Sanctuary?" (Yes, Giles repeat what Courtney said in a 'stating the obvious' manner.)2. "Tell me more about this Slayer Sanctuary." (Yes, please do so the story can move forward from your robotic dialogue.)
3. "We need to find this place." (No duh.)
4. "We just made it. This is the only train that reaches Hanselstadt. It's deep in the mountains." (Thank God you were here to tell us where we are, Giles, otherwise the audience would have to think for themselves without you here to point out the obvious...or maybe read a location bubble in the top corner so that you could actually sound like Giiiiiiiiles.)
5. "If these girls are hiding here, seeing you might get them back in the fight." (Again, thanks for expressing this in the most linguistically and intellectually simplistic way possible. 'Cause that's clearly in-character for you when written by Krueger.)
6. "Vampires. I don't understand. What are they waiting for?" (Wow, thanks for remembering to wear your glasses today Giles or we'd never have known that those were vampires out there and that they're all creepily waiting outside of town. No please, don't have an emotional reaction or an intelligent thought, Giles. You might hurt yourself. And I'm going to keep calling you Giles so that I remember that's who you're supposed to be.)
7. "You're too hard on yourself, Faith." (Good thing you brought your Chicken Soup for the Soul on the train, Giles. What would Faith have done without that sage advice?)
8. "Enough, Faith." (Brief. Yeah, it's better when you don't go on. Thanks.)

Wonderful James video

Just when I thought my James-crush was fading...

Weekly feature: Excerpt from original script

This week's episode is all about white. And something borrowed, something blue, something old...(PS. it's Hell bells, not Something Blue;)

In a scene with Willow and Dawn, cut for time, Giles' absence from the Anya & Xander's wedding was explained:

Dawn: I thought Xander and Anya couldn't afford flowers.

Willow: Giles sent 'em. Aren't they gorgeous?

Dawn: Yeah. I wish Giles was here.

Willow: Me too. And I'm sure he'd much rather be here that fighting that nasty demon-

Dawn: Da-e-mon. In England, it's daemon.

Willow: Daemon, too right. But Giles' got responsibilities. And so Anya and Xander have flowers. And flowers. And more flowers. Ooh, it's going to be so pretty.

I really wish they hadn't cut this scene. I got bummed out, noticing that Giles wasn't there. I was almost convinced he didn't care, or that he was afraid he wouldn't be welcomed there anymore, so he didn't go.

Buffy cast & crew photo.

Look what I got in the mail today!

A photo (according to the seller)taken on the last day of shooting, which was only given to cast and crew who worked on the show. It's about 25x20cm/8x10inches.
I recognize Snyder(Schimmerman?), Juliet Landau, James Marster, Sarah, Michelle Geller, Marti Noxon & child, Jane Espenson, Michelle Trachtenberg, Nicholas Brendon, Alyson Hannigan, Anthony Stuart Head, Emma Caulfield, Danny Strong, Joyce(Katherine Sutherland?), Tom Lenk and a bleach blonde in the back who I assume is James' stunt double, but not the rest. Help me?

Btw, the quality on the photo should be a little bit better, damn scanner.

Behind the scene photos.

Anyone here who loves behind the scene photos?
If you do(or you know, just like them) go here to see photos from Angel.
