Read, read, read.

If you haven't read the tie-in for season 8, do. Pencilled by Jo Chen, the main cover artist, and written by Joss Whedon.

Always darkest

The other tie-ins you can find (here on my blog) if you scroll down and look to the side beneath the title "Tie-ins for Season 8".

  1. cool! i have no idea how this even relates to season 8, or the current arc but i guess this is the closest we're gonna get of Angel and Spike in Season 8.

Man i wish the Angel timeline would catch up to the Season 8 one, then there is more possibility of concurrent appearances... very sparingly of course.

  2. Actually, I think I recall Brian Lynch saying that After the fall was happening about the same time as Season 8.

Not sure how it worked out when time was reset, or how many months they were down there, but time shouldn't be an issue if Joss wanted Spike & Angel in season 8.

  3. Joss said Season 8 happens a year and a half after Chosen, also was confirmed in the letters section. I think I've also heard Brian Lynch also say that After The Fall takes place before Season 8 as well. I'm sure Joss could make it happen if he wanted to use characters in both series, without messing the timeline completely.
Oh well, at least the wole continuity is not as confusing as all the X-titles!

How much time do you think has went by in Season 8? a few months?

This is my attempt at a timeline:

    Chosen
Not Fade Away (1 year after Chosen)

    AFTER reset
    #17 one month after NFA
    #18 Aftermath (2 weeks after #17)
at least whole week went by in that issue.
#19-#22 at least a month and a half to two months went by

    Season 8 (1 1/2 years after Chosen)

  4. That list looks good, but who knows? Not even sure if the writers do.

Season 8 can take place over weeks, or years. Damn hard to tell.
